Moving In

John C. “Rusty” Allman has become a full-time attorney with Slack & Davis, after years of serving in an Of Counsel role. His practice is devoted to aviation law, including:
• aircrash litigation
• representation of pilots in enforcement proceedings
• counsel to airline pilots and unions

Rusty’s multi-faceted experience includes careers as a naval aviator, a commercial airline pilot, an aviation litigation consultant, and a labor mediator serving the national airline and railroad industries.

Road Warriors

Michael Slack has been busy leading the firm’s national aviation practice, which includes nine lawsuits arising out of the crash of American Flight 587 in New York. In addition, he is handling cases in New Mexico, Montana, Arkansas, Texas and Alaska.

Mike Davis has resolved several complex environmental cases; his current caseload includes medical malpractice and pharmaceutical cases, among others. He continues to serve as the Pony League Commissioner for the Oak Hill Youth Sports Association and to follow his son Ty’s high school baseball career.

Donna Bowen was elected to the Board of Directors of Any Baby Can, a non-profit that helps families with special-needs children. She also was a nominee in the Austin Business Journal “Profiles in Power” awards. Her practice includes a mix of medical, nursing home, product, and negligence cases.
