Mike Slack and the Slack & Davis aviation law team were featured in an article about aviation law in the San Antonio Express-News. Written by Senior Reporter Roy Bragg, the article outlines the relatively new field of aviation law.
Mike Slack’s experience as a former NASA senior aerospace engineer came into play on local TV news reports after results of the Columbia investigative board were released. Both KEYE-TV’s Judy Maggio and KVUE’s Kris Guitierrez interviewed Slack about the report.
The Austin City Council recently gained a top aviation expert for its Airport Advisory Commission. John C. “Rusty” Allman was appointed to a two-year term that runs through May 10, 2005.
The commission reviews and makes recommendations to the council on aviation projects that its Department of Aviation proposes for the capital improvements program, proposed aviation grants, aviation contracts, annual operating budget and quality of services at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.
Both Mike Davis and Mike Slack were named to the first publication of Texas Super Lawyers, published by Texas Monthly and Law & Politics Media, Inc. This statewide directory was mailed to all attorneys in Texas and touted “super lawyers” in a variety of practice areas.
Mike Slack was selected by a peer-review panel for “Best of the Bar” by the Austin Business Journal. The issue also included an article by Colin Pope about the firm’s growth over the past year.
Ladd Sanger was featured in a D Magazine online report about Sanger’s concerns over maintenance of media helicopters in the Dallas area. (See related story)
In addition, Sanger recently spoke in Washington, D.C., at the October American Bar Association Tort, Trial & Insurance Practice Section meeting. Sanger presented a paper on pending air carrier litigation.
