Movin’ & Groovin’
Mike Davis spent last summer in preparation for multiple trials, instead of going on vacation. But there’s always time for baseball! In his spare time, Davis is Pony Commissioner for the Oak Hill Youth Sports Association.

Davis’ son Ty is a redshirt freshman pitcher for Vanderbilt University. Ty pitched last summer for the Danville Dans in the Central Illinois Collegiate Baseball League. Ty was named to the all-league team and was touted by Baseball America as the number-five prospect in that league.

Donna Bowen is now a member of the State Bar of Texas Advertising Review Committee, as well as the Texas Trial Lawyers Association Professional Conduct Task Force. In addition, Bowen continues in her role as Texas State Liaison for the Women’s Caucus of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. In July, Bowen attended ATLA’s annual convention in Boston, where she celebrated the Fourth with a bird’s-eye view of fireworks over Boston Harbor.

Rusty Allman recently served as arbitrator on a panel that reviewed claims by the families of three Oklahoma State Basketball players and a pilot-passenger who died in the crash of a chartered aircraft in 2001. The arbitration panel decided on the allocation of insurance money that had been offered to settle all claims.

In addition, Allman spoke about the benefits of tort litigation in aviation crashes before the Austin Legal Professionals and the Northwest Austin Rotary Club.

Pat Livingston, Director of Marketing, attended the Bay Area Legal Marketing Association Technology Conference in September to explore better ways of using leading-edge technology in our firm’s varied marketing programs.

Office Administrator Bonnie Zook spoke at the State Bar of Texas Annual Meeting in San Antonio in June. Zook’s presentation was “Producing the Work: Office Management / Administration / Technology.”
