Our Dallas Partner
In April, Ladd Sanger was named a partner in Slack & Davis. He came aboard the firm in January 2003 after the death of his mentor, noted aviation lawyer John Howie in Dallas. At that time, Slack & Davis assumed Howie’s docket of aviation cases, hired Sanger as aviation attorney and opened a Dallas office.

“Ladd is probably the finest young aviation attorney in the country. I wouldn’t trade him for anyone. He has worked hard to earn a national reputation in his field and has been recognized by his peers as one of the outstanding young lawyers in the state,” said Mike Slack.

“The talents and abilities that earned Ladd this honor will serve to enhance the image and prestige of this fine firm. Besides being a great lawyer, Ladd is a fine human being,” said George L. Machin of Miami, who has collaborated on a number of cases with Sanger.

“I am honored to be named a partner with one of the nation’s preeminent aviation law firms. I look forward to continuing to serve our clients from around the world,” said Sanger.

SMU AIR LAW HONOR

Sanger received another honor in April. The Board of Advisors of the Southern Methodist University Air Law Symposium announced the addition of Sanger to the Board.

“Ladd’s addition comes after careful consideration over the past two years,” said Charles A. Tarpley, Board Chair and a charter member. “Ladd is an outstanding young lawyer who brings enormous talents and strengths to the board. He is energetic and committed to serving the Symposium.”

The Board of Advisors guides SMU’s law students in presenting the Air Law Symposium, the oldest and largest premier air law conference. The 40th annual Symposium will be in Dallas in February 2006. Sanger, an SMU alumni, began attending the Symposium while still in undergraduate school.
