On May 2, 2020, a Houston PD flight officer was on board an MD 369E helicopter that experienced a mechanical issue and lost control, crashing into a building. The flight had been searching for a person near a bayou, and the pilot has just asked for permission to re-enter the George Bush Intercontinental/Houston airport airspace when he stopped responding.
