Derek Quick is a Senior Attorney working across all of the firm's practice areas, with an emphasis on aviation crash cases. His calm nature and tenacious spirit has him working hard to deliver justice to all of his clients.

Derek concentrates his practice on civil litigation and has experience prosecuting and defending a wide variety of personal injury matters in both state and federal court, including aviation crashes, trucking accidents, premises liability, product liability, and construction site injuries.  Derek also has significant experience handling commercial matters, including contractual disputes, business torts, breaches of fiduciary duty, and trademark disputes.

Prior to joining Slack Davis Sanger, Derek clerked for United States Magistrate Judge Andrew Austin, Western District of Texas, Austin Division. He also spent 10 years litigating cases at Clark Hill Strasburger. He is a Texas Bar Foundation Fellow, a Life Member of the Texas Exes, and a former Barrister in the Lloyd Lochridge Inns of Court. During law school, Derek served on the Texas Law Review as an Associate Editor, and he interned with Justice Harriet O’Neill on the Texas Supreme Court.
