The Annual Bonnie Zook Scholarship
Law firm administrators are the lifeblood of a successful firm. Not only do they handle the day-to-day operations that keep the firm running, but they often work one-on-one with clients.
Slack Davis Sanger understands how important administrators are. That is why we are proud to offer the Annual Bonnie Zook Scholarship, in honor of the firm’s very first employee Bonnie Zook. This yearly scholarship will award $3000 to a student studying Business Administration or Law at an accredited college or university.
About Bonnie Zook
Arkansas native Bonnie Zook joined Slack Davis Sanger in 1993 as the office administrator and spent 24 years in this role. In 2017, she stepped away from this role and became the firm’s controller, handling the firm’s daily accounting. She still serves as the firm’s “unofficial” historian, and her 40+ years of experience make her an invaluable mentor to both staff and attorneys alike.
Bonnie earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University. She is an active member of the Association of Legal Administrators (ALA), and serves on the education committee for the Austin Chapter of the ALA. She is also a former ALA board member as well as a former chairman of the community service committee, a role she held for five years.
In her semi-retirement, you might find Bonnie spending time with her beloved nieces and nephews, or curled up with a good book.
