When you or your family have been impacted by a catastrophic injury or death, it’s overwhelming. And we know it’s hard to even think about trying to figure out what happened and sorting through your legal options when you are grieving or suffering a loss. That’s why we try to make the experience as easy as possible. With compassion, zeal, and a decades-long track record of success, we lift the burden off your shoulders.
We know there may be no amount of money great enough to compensate for what you’ve lost, but it’s our goal to come as close as we can and to answer your questions. More importantly, we will strive to make changes that will help prevent a similar occurrence from happening again.
The firm handles cases involving catastrophic personal injuries and deaths. Our work spans three decades of handling airplane and helicopter crashes, truck and car accidents, oilfield and construction accidents, and other devastating accidents. We try lawsuits throughout the country in both federal and state courts and have recovered hundreds of millions of dollars for our clients. To date, we have handled or tried cases in 47 states.
Individualized and Skilled Attention
As your attorneys, we will assign a team to work with you and keep you informed of the progress of your case, beginning with an investigation and continuing through conclusion of the claim. We have the financial and personnel resources to aggressively prepare and pursue your case as efficiently and quickly as possible while we work to obtain optimum compensation for you and your family. Our legal team also includes a full-time nurse who helps unravel the medical and forensic aspects of every case.
How We Got Started
Michael L. Slack, Mike Davis, and the late Tom H. Davis founded Slack Davis in 1993 as they felt many clients were not getting the legal services they deserved from other law firms when catastrophic events were involved. As their practice rapidly expanded beyond aviation crashes to other areas, they realized that lawyers without the necessary scientific or technical backgrounds were at a significant disadvantage when handling complex cases. They developed a different model, utilizing their strong engineering, piloting and technical skills and their abilities to effectively communicate complex subjects to judges and juries. We are happy to discuss our record of success with you. The firm expanded to Dallas in 2003 and Fort Worth in 2011.
I would like to commend Slack Davis Sanger for their willingness to contribute to the local educational community. In an era when state- and federally allocated funds are scarce, schools are forced to look to public–private partnerships to fund educational initiatives. The partners at Slack Davis Sanger were not only willing to listen to our proposal in a climate in which responses are few, they ultimately provided us with resources. We appreciate the educational opportunities, facilitated through partial funding of technological upgrades at our campus, that Slack Davis Sanger has provided.
James Bowie High School PTSA President
The principals at Slack Davis Sanger have been our partners for years on one of the most significant community programs we have here at KVUE. It’s our Five Who Care, Five Kids Who Care public service recognition project. Their commitment to the community is evident through their commitment to this project, as they work with us to recognize individuals who have chosen to make a positive difference in the lives of others here in Central Texas. Our partnership with Slack Davis Sanger is based on our mutual respect for each other, the respect we have for those who are honored, and further, based on our mutual desire to shine a light on the positive aspects of our community.
