Slack Davis Sanger Hosts Inaugural "Managing Partner Forum" – A Networking and Educational Opportunity for Law Firm Managing Partners
Slack Davis Sanger hosted the inaugural “Managing Partners Forum” on November 6, 2014, at Slack Davis Sanger’ Austin office with guest speaker Judy Osborn, a lawyer for employers, who presented on employment issues facing law firms. The Forum, an initiative endorsed by the Austin Chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators, was created to provide networking and educational opportunities for managing partners from diverse practices, and offer a sense of increased community among Austin law firms.
“The goal is to create a relaxed, informal environment of like-minded professionals that allows us to network and discuss the myriad issues managing partners face,” said Michael Slack, Managing Partner of Slack Davis Sanger. “The discussion was very beneficial and I look forward to the next event.”
The Managing Partners Forum will be held two or three times each year and discuss topics, such as the challenges of dealing with aging partners and guiding firm transitions. The next Forum will be hosted by Husch Blackwell in Austin, TX early next year.
