Our founding partner, Mike Davis, was diagnosed with lymphoma in 1995, just two years after Slack Davis Sanger was established. Despite that diagnosis, Mike continued to practice law at the highest levels for decades. He passed away on March 30, 2022, after a long fight with the disease.
Mike helped build Slack Davis Sanger on a foundation of legal excellence, the highest ethical standards, client service, and innovation. He was widely respected as a highly skilled trial lawyer and exceptional legal writer, but those who worked with him remember him most for his humility, compassion, and quiet strength. His resilience in the face of illness left a lasting impression on the firm and continues to shape our values today.
