Austin Managing Partner Forum Meets to Discuss “Artificial Intelligence: A Seismic Shift for Legal”

Advances in machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) are transforming businesses worldwide and the legal industry has taken notice – even Silicon Valley is making large investments in this arena with many companies targeting legal services. Austin Managing Partner Forum’s (MPF) most recent meeting on Thursday, February 22, 2018, hosted by Winstead PC, had the President of Right Hat, Elonide Semmes, leading the discussion on AI’s impact on the legal industry.

Semmes discussed how legal services are evolving to use big data and AI tools – everything from complex litigation and routine contract analysis to the creation of algorithms to predict where new clients will come from and which clients you are most likely to lose.

MPF  provides premier networking and educational opportunities for managing partners from diverse practices, and offers a sense of increased community among Austin law firms.
